Although it’s hard to see in the before photos, the entire front landing was uneven and poorly graded, making it a major eyesore at the front of the home — especially in an area with so much visual potential.

The primary issues was an improper height transition between the step and the concrete front entrance, as well as the uneven pavers that was causing water to pool and creating a tripping hazard. There was a significant gap at the step, which required the surface to be built up approximately two inches to achieve the correct elevation.

To correct this properly, we:

  • Added approximately two inches of ¾″ clear stone to raise and stabilize the base

  • Lifted all existing pavers and reset the entire area

  • Carefully re-leveled the surface to ensure proper drainage away from the house and patio

Once the grade and drainage were corrected, the pavers were reinstalled to create a clean, consistent, and visually balanced front entrance — an area where precision matters most.

The project was completed with a full pressure wash and new polymeric sand in the joints to lock everything in place and finish the space properly.

The result is a front entrance that is level, properly drained, and aesthetically polished — exactly how a high-visibility area like this should be done.
