This project involved a full interlock repair around the pool, where the existing pavers had shifted significantly over time. As shown in the before photos, the surface was uneven and created a serious tripping hazard, especially concerning given the homeowners have three young children.
Rather than pushing a full reconstruction and all new pavers, we restored the existing interlock. Every paver around the pool was lifted and re-leveled to eliminate trip points and create a smooth, consistent surface.
Once the pavers were properly reset, we:
Secured the perimeter with concrete edging to lock everything in place
Pressure washed the entire area to remove buildup and restore color
Installed new polymeric sand to tighten the joints and prevent future movement
The end result is a safe, level, and clean pool surround that looks refreshed and performs properly — without the cost of a full rebuild. This is exactly where interlock repair makes more sense than reconstruction.
