For this project, the side walkway had settled approximately three to four inches from its original elevation, creating drainage issues and an inconsistent transition into the driveway.

To correct the problem properly, we rebuilt the base by adding roughly three inches of ¾″ clear stone, compacted in lifts to create a stable, long-term foundation. This step was critical to prevent future settlement and provide a solid platform for the repair.

Once the base was restored, we installed a high-performance bedding layer and began precision leveling. Because this was a 70-foot walkway that needed to tie seamlessly into the existing driveway, accuracy was essential. We used a laser level to ensure consistent grade, proper slope away from the house, and clean integration across the entire length of the walkway.

After confirming drainage and elevation, the pavers were reinstalled in a herringbone pattern, followed by a full polymeric sand installation to lock the joints and finish the surface.

The final result is a level, properly drained walkway that flows cleanly into the driveway and directs water away from the foundation. Arden was extremely happy with the outcome and left us a stellar Google review.
